Where have I been...?

Apologies to everyone for not posting for almost a month... my last day of cycling from Thunder Bay to Nipigon, Ontario was about 110km and was stunning. I had views of Lake Superior and my only disappointment was the fact that the Terry Fox Monument is not accessible to cyclists/pedestrians - kind of odd considering Terry Fox is Canada's more celebrated pedestrian? Anyway, the decision to get a lift from Nipigon to Hamilton, Ontario was definitely a good one - highway 11/17 is so narrow and at one point I swear a transport truck was about an arms length away from me. I literally stopped at the side of the road and paused as I was shaking... then went to the first convenience store and bought an icecream (for therapeutic purposes).

Arrived to the campground at the same time as Doug. Ate a wonderful Rib dinner with salads and then went to bed early. Woke up at 12:30 in a panic as a storm was moving in - Doug and I decided to pack up everything and head home... Rain was falling fiercely and bouncing about half a metre off the ground (definitely a good decision to leave).

One last note - coffee shops are no where to be found between Nipigon and Wawa late at night.
